Looking for a fictional mystery that uses the 1950's to early 60's NYC jazz backdrop, with allusions to musicians (Chet Baker, Coltrane, etc.) and songs.
Something fun for my brother-in-law, to take his mind away from his home in lower Manhattan-still no power.

No one has a book or a book series like this? I've been enjoying the Rat Pack (Sinatra version) mystery series, but that would not be my relative's cup of joe.
