Now that version 2 is on the horizon, are the version 1 iterations going to go on sale for clear outs?

NO - the BDA-1 and BDP-1 are staying in the lineup.

James, do you think it's a good idea if you have a pinned thread with new Bryston products by type (DAC, Player, USB Add on for BDA-1), features, etc?  I answered someone the other day who did not read through all the threads.  You have lots of patience as you seem to be answering the same questions over and over.  The first post you could put in would be the model, it's features and note if it is or is not replacing anything.  That way, if someone wants to know the progress of DSD capability for the BDA-2, they can just post in that thread.

It makes it easy for me too as I'm interested in both the add-on box and also the new DAC for DSD.  I really love the BDA-1 and don't mind having to suffer with it in a secondary system.  Over the more years I've sold less things and either moved things to a secondary system or if they were not worth selling, just give it to someone.  Before the BCD-1 and BDA-1, I had an old Micomega DuoPro DAC that I picked up used for next to nothing and it was moved to the secondary basement system and the only reason I sold it was I picked up the Emotiva for less money and use it with an HDMI audio de-embedder and an Oppo player to extract 88.2kHz from SACD.  The Micromega would only do 48kHz but still sounded good on CD.  Yes - that's me rolling in all that dough - https://www.dunkindonuts.com/dunkindonuts/en.html
