     I'm currently using my 1.2 with an Adcom preamp and it really sounds good.  I have often thought that two of these as monoblocks would really look and sound good.  Alas, the 1.2's were out of production.  Would the 1.3 be a good match with the 1.2 in a monoblock configuration?

sure, that would work.  the one.3 still has a POT bypass you could use. 

however.... i believe it's a waste.  Run your one.2 stereo   the amp is dual mono inside.
