What is it made of, what exactly does it do and what makes it cost so much?

mca- this thread is the definition of the phrase "If its too good to be true, it must not be true" or something along those lines. Has anyone seen the picture that is apparently hiding behind some Ultrabits  that the poster refers to in the section I'll call- the reason not to believe the hype??

Let me know, as I will, if that photo ever comes out of hiding...TY mca  :thumb:

Hello MCA:

To answer your question, CDs are made of PolyCarbonate. This material is not as transparent as say optical quality glass.

This chemical formula improves the visual acuity of the PolyCarbonate towards that of glass. The manufacturers of discs know this(that is why SONY has special discs made of glass instead of PolyCarbonate, but each one costs about $300.00. And they said  CDs were "Perfect Sound Forever"? With Ultrabit Platinum Plus they approach that optical level. Give your ears a treat.

Holographic sound is the new norm.
