One of the most popular VMPS models in the early days.

I can still remember the first time I heard them.

It was in a store in Beverly Hills where we listened to: 1) Wilson Watt Puppies, 2) a Pair of GOLDMUND full Epilogue speakers, and 3) The VMPS SuperTowers.

The SuperTowers sounded far better than anything else in the store, for a "fraction" of the price.  This was sometime before I ever spoke with Brian, but it prompted me to seek him out.

I'd love to have em.  Very generous of you for sure!  Click on my gallery and you can see several pics of my towers.

They are Venkman's!

I drooled over a pair of those at local store years ago, but bought a pair of xxx instead.

Now I lust after some RM30II's. But the wife seems to think I have enough gear already???

Thanks!

Actually we just moved in to a new home and I've yet to get the towers set up.  They will be in a much bigger space now and I think it will be a better fit.

Those (if you look at the top of the speaker) have their own built in "ambiance tweeters".

And here I had to add my own VMPS Ambiance Tweeters on the back of my main Odyssey Lorelei's and the top of my rear Lorelei's.

I also like the "pink slippers" under the coffee table  :green:

And I bet there have been MANY GREAT drumming sessions down there with the likes of Led Zepplin and other Classic Rock Bands  :thumb:

Yes, those are my drumming slippers, of course! :)

I'd like to say, yes, there have been many great drumming sessions...problem is, a great drummer, I am not!  We certainly had a lot of fun trying to get the Led out though... I can keep a beat and have a few tricks up my sleeve, so we had a good time playing.

Just to change the subject and take this thread off-course...What do you guys think of using a La Scala as a center channel for the ST/R's?  I know it wouldn't be ideal, but I stumbled across a single one and I figured I'd give it a try.  It'd be efficient enough that I could just use my HT amp to push it, while using my SN80 ES amp with the towers.   Hmmm.

And another off topic question, inspired by the lovely pictures above.
Just about every manufacturer suggests keeping speakers 3 feet from the wall yet few people can. How much of a difference does it really make?
