Hi Jim, it looks like an offset bipole (per Duke LeJeune) done with two monitor speakers per side, but why is the second speaker inverted in polarity?

I respectfully request moderator permission to add about seven pages in Word, font size 12, including RAMCA history and performance goals accrued from my listening experience.

Thanks for asking ahead of time Jimbo.  The request indicates you understand the problem, way too much info and bandwidth used for one post.  Maybe a link to a web page or hosting site might be better.  Actually, for myself I have no objection at all, but Site Admin might have a bird.  Perhaps JohnR would weigh in here.

As far as the subject, friggin' fascinating.  My mind is spinning on how I could implement this.  I've been doing a lot of work with planer speakers using indirect orientations and was wondering how I could use it with direct radiators.  Could one use very similar speakers instead of identical?  Same frequency range and design, 6" woofer, soft dome tweeter, rear port, just different brands.  I'm really not looking to buy a duplicate set of speakers for an experiment.

A friend and I tried GR Research N3's and DMG's on the bottom.
I sound great, I like the big sound stage.

James, I'm fasinated in your ideas/observations relating to 2-channel stereo.  Just starting in Toole's book on "Sound Reproduction" where he appears to say the same.  I recall you making three channel presentations a few years ago with Brian Cheney, any relationship?

Aha!  The long awaited link!  Actually I've been to James' site and have read most of it b4, but thanks for the link.  I'm still playing with planars and haven't got round to this yet, has anyone tried it?
