i owned 3.5's for many years - great speakers.  the 3.6's are better in all respects - smoother, more detail, slightly easier load - no factory eq.  "only" rated down to 29hz instead of the 3.5's eq'd 20hz.  these speakers throw a fantastic soundstage, imo.  killer deal on a pair of 3.6's on agon right now:

Very impressive system.   Thank you so much for sharing.  Thiel should get a circle here!  I don't know much about the company, only that they are based in Tennesee.  I appreciate all of the comments people have provided.

That's one of the most impressive bedroom systems I've ever seen.  My wife refuses to allow a TV in our bedroom.  We have two "TVs" (one TV and one projector) in the house, and that will be it.

Thiel just announced 2.7s shipping this month at $9,990.  I believe it has the same tweeter/midrange as the 3.7.

You have to ensure you've got an amp of adequate quality to drive those.  They will sound horrible if not.  If on a budget, consider the Odyssey amps new or used.  Even the basic Khartago will sound excellent and adequately drive them (some will say you need the monos, but that is not my experience).  That is a lot of speaker for $1,200 by the way.

If this were someplace in SoCal................

I wanted these speakers so bad for so long, then everybody said wait for the 3.7's - didn't know those would retail for $10k +.

Somebody is going to get a heck of a deal.

The 3.7s were $9.9k when they came out but that only lasted a few months before they raised the price $3k and then eventual at some point a few years after that another $1k

the most important thing is an amp that has a lot of power, and does well into low ohms.  it needs to be good, but does not need to be s.o.t.a.  my 3.5's worked great w/the ubiquitous adcom gfa555.

New CS2.7 may be a nice option as well, with technology trickled down from CS3.7
