I just bought a used 3BST and when cold, the clipping light comes on on one channel. After about 15min of warm up, I can turn up the volume th higher levels, but the same channel is allways the first to clip. When warm, the sound is better, and has more bass than my rotel of the same wattage.  Is this something worth sending the amp into for?
Thanks Ryan
p.s. running magnepan MG12's

Hi Ryan,

I would first check the speaker wire on both ends for that particular channel. If everything is ok, I would definitly send it in. It has to be sent in a Bryston box. Email Bryston and tell them what is happening. They are great. Good luck.

Yes, it is indeed likely that the speaker cables have shorted, either at the amp end or the speaker's.  I had a similar experience and luckly I checked before playing any more music.
