RWA Modded SB3 & amb Sigma 11 PSU - Price: SOLD

A squeezebox (SB3) is a network music player that uses your Wi-Fi network to to play music from your computer, or internet radio, anywhere in range.  Red Wine Audio is a CT based company that has been modding Squeezeboxes for years to improve their sound quality.  This is my current favorite source and I still use a SB3 w/ identical mods in my main system.  The following mods were performed on this unit:

Quote
1) The DAC chip was upgraded to the "KE" version of the PCM1748. This results in a 6db improvement in Dynamic Range and S/N ratio, as well as improved THD and channel separation

2) RCA jacks were upgraded to Cardas (gold plated with teflon insulator)

3) The output of the DAC is directly wired to the Cardas jacks via Auricap signal capacitors

4) The stock analog power supply cap was upgraded to low ESR Panasonic FC type

5) The power supply decoupling caps were upgraded to Black Gate NX-Hi-Q caps

The sigma 11 power supply was built by n_maher over on Head-fi.  This is the best sounding SB3 PSU that I have owned, and I have used all Bolder PSUs including their own custom one.  More info can be found here and I will quote his description:

Basically it's a linear regulated, low ripple, high current output power supply. There's no better single voltage PS that I'm aware of, if there was I'd use it.

From what I know about the Boulder modded Elpac I would feel pretty comfortable saying that the sigma11 is a superior PS...The sigma is just about the most technically advanced PS you're likely to come across. As a commercial piece of gear you could expect a price somewhere between $700 and $1000 for the PS alone.

Condition:
This SB3 is in very good condition with only a couple tiny blemishes.  There is a small chink in the bottom left hand corner of the front and a faint <1/8" scratch in the upper left.  See pics for details (though I couldn't get the scratch to appear).

The sigma 11 is also in very good condition, with a few faint scratches on the top, and a couple minute bits of missing paint in the front.  See pics for details.

Terms:
Accepting Paypal Gift, Paypal, or USPS money order.  Will be shipped double boxed and will include RWA SB3, Sigma 11 PSU, stock PSU, remote, & power cables.  I have feedback on Audiogon.  For sale in the US only.

$400 shipped for both.  If split $300 for the Squeezebox and $115 for the Power Supply.

Also, the coax works fine, thats just a rca cap to keep out dust and cut down on emi/rf.
