Between Ebay & a couple other sources, I've managed to track down some of my 80's faves that have either been OOP or otherwise very hard to find.  Recent scores:

Platinum Blonde- Alien Shores
Headpins- Greatest Hits
Van Zant- ST
John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band- Tough All Over
Paul Young- Best of (Remastered)
Warrior- Fighting For The Earth
Chastain- Ruler of the Wasteland
Loverboy- Lovin' Every Minute of It
Katrina & the Waves- Greatest Hits (the "Walking on Sunshine" chick...)
Kim Mitchell- Akimbo Alogo
Rave- Stay Hard
Helix- Back For Another Taste

A couple are Metal bands, but most are pop & AOR groups that I really dug as a kid.  Anyone here like that stuff?  Maybe it's nostalgia, but hearing that stuff really picks me up.

Hmmm, ebay is a really scary place.
I was looking around it last night and found just about every item of Hi-Fi I or my dad ever owned, right back to a 1972 Sansui turntable and reciever. I found a Garrard Zero 100 which I had many moons ago and assorted other ancient oddities of my sad audio past.

Yep. . . ebay is scary.  Last year in a fit of nostalgia, I bought a Dynaco SS amp, preamp and tuner because they were the same models that I had assembled in high school and they would go well with the AR 5's a friend gave me.  They sound just as I remembered, not too good (and these were factory assembled).

Speaking of '80's music, how about albums from Living Colour, Talking Heads, Van Halen, Oingo Boingo and Jason and the Scorchers?  I find myself appreciating some songs that I have previously overlooked.

The Living Colour & Van Halen ones I have, but the others you list don't have quite enough songs I like to justify buying right now.  Especially given the amount of discs I just bought!  Maybe down the road I'll go after a few more *classics* from the 80's.

I'm a huge fan of 80's music and have been doing a lot of searching for some of the more obscure stuff myself. Some of my favorites are:
Beat Farmers
Box of Frogs
Bulletboys
Church
Circus of Power
Colin James
Dan Reed Network
English Beat
Guadalcanal Diary
HSAS
Joe Ely
Kim Mitchell
King Swamp
Kings of the Sun
Loudness
Love and Rockets
Mojo Nixon
Shooting Star
That Petrol Emotion
Underworld

There's lots of cool old stuff hidden out there!

I saw the Bulletboys live once- believe it or not, they got booed & pelted with shoes and bottles til they had to leave the stage.  Man, were they f'ing dreadful!

I ordered Kim Mitchell's "Akimbo Alogo" from a guy with great feedback, but I never go it.  He offered me a refund as he didn't have another copy.  Luckily, I managed to find another one, and we'll see if that one shows up.

You listed a lot of bands there that I listen to!  Loudness is one I particularly liked/like.  I've been meaning to buy the new remastered greatest hits of the Church, too.
