Song Tower in New Jersey/NY City
« on: 6 Oct 2009, 07:23 pm »
I am looking to replace my front speakers and the Song Tower QWT seems attractive.  I would love to lsiten first before I spend $$$$.  Is there anyone in the NJ/New York City area who will allow me to listen their setup?

Thanks
Deepak

You will want to post this in the Salk Owners Audition List thread: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=20721.0.

You'll find they are a friendly bunch.

I see Evan replied....he's in Staten Island and owns the Song Towers.
He also has a neighbor with the HT3's. :thumb:

I'm moving this thread to the Salk Circle where you may get a few more replies...good luck. :thumb:

I am always willing to have people come hear the speakers.  My room is not ideal as I am in a one bedroom, so the living room is not huge, but we have plans to move to Brooklyn at some point soon.  my bigger issue is that I am a corporate bankruptcy lawyer and have no time to myself anymore...  Anyway, this is the system:

Salk SongTower RTs in the front, a SongCenter, Songsurrounds, and a Salk build of the Rythmik down firing 15" sub.  The electronics are an Anthem DV2V (the new one), an Outlaw 770 amp (built by ATI and the next thing to be replaced), the Oppo Blu-Ray player, an Arcam CD player and an Airport Extreme, Airtunes and all my CDs in Apple Lossless (Toslink to the Anthem).

Also, how do you join the Rave group?

In two weeks, my RTs will be hooked to an AVA Ultra 550.  That's exciting for me.  Then all I need to do is move to Brooklyn and go up to the HT2s or 3s...  Yes, this is a disease.

Hey! I'm new to this forum but I have been reading about the Song Towers for the past 2 years on various forums. sfox7076, I see that you're trying to sell your Song Towers and Song Center. I'm interested in speaking to you about them, and possibly taking them off of your hands. I live in Queens, but I'm in the city and Brooklyn quite often. I saw your listing but couldn't post a reply nor shoot you a PM since I am a new member. Please shoot me a PM if you see this.

Thanks!
Dan

Hi Dan,

Welcome to AudioCircle. Perhaps you didn't notice the for sale post was from 2009. However the Salk Circle is here on the forum. Jim builds awesome speakers, I own HT3's and my brother has the HT2-TL's. You'll find plenty of SongTowers in your area to check out I would think, just ask over in the SalkCircle. Good luck in your search.

Peace,
Marty

 My apologies for pulling up such an old thread. I saw that sfox7076 currently had his for sale in the trading section, and thought maybe I could post here and hope he'd see it, as I don't have PM privileges, nor can I post in the trading circle just yet. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for getting back to me!  :thumb:

That entry was from when after I got the speakers in 2009.
