New amp for Aperion C5 center
« on: 11 Jul 2012, 05:40 pm »
My Aperion C5 center speaker needs more power than my h/k AVR can provide.  I've just bought the Outlaw 2200 monoblock will give this amp a try.  The sleek design fits my racking.  Has anybody heard or have this amp?

The only Outlaw product I own is their exceptional LMF-1 Plus sub.  And, from what I read,  their amps look to be just as good.  I'll think you'll be fine.  Some others vendors you may want to consider are AudioSource & Emotiva.   I do own their AudioSource's AMP1100  and it powers my Axiom M22 V3 effortlessly.

What I have read of the M-2200 monoblock (limited as it is) is all good.  The 200 watt is perfect for the C5 center.  Since the Aperion C5 is rated @6 Ohms I should get above 200 wattage.  Over powering a speaker (just have a brain in your head when adding volume)  is better than under powering a speaker.
