Up for sale is my Mapletree Audio Ultra 4A SE full preamp.
This is a unit made when Black Gate caps were available, so it has the SE upgrades with Auricaps and Black Gates throughout the signal section as well as a BG Heart of Muse in the power supply.
Chassis have a few dings in the paint, and some of the labels on back are peeling (why doesn't Mapletree use better labels, I don't know....but it doesn't affect function). I'd give it a cosmetic 6 out of 10. Operationally it is perfect.
Ultra 4A:
* A high definition RIAA phono preamp plus line preamp in a compact chassis with separate power supply.
* Low distortion NOS octal tubes (2 x 12SC7, 2 x 6SN7GTA switchable for 12SN7GT).
Included are two matched pairs of 6SN7GTA tubes, from Sylvania and RCA.
* Hybrid passive/feedback RIAA equalization.
* Low impedance cathode-follower outputs.
* Two line inputs with 20 dB gain.
* Parallel line outputs for bi-amping or driving a headphone amplifier.

* Soft start-up relieves stress on tubes and capacitors.
Includes standard IEC power cord as well as umbilical to connect to signal chassis.
