Pair of Class-D-Audio SDS-224 Amp kits
« on: 27 Jun 2012, 01:06 am »

For those that missed out on the Great NCore Sweepstakes(tm), I have a consolation prize

I have what amounts to 2 sets of SDS-224 kits. One uses the standard linear supply included with the kit, the other uses a Connex electronics SMPS500R set up for the correct voltage (I think 32V, but I'd have to verify).

The linear PS is currently unused, and I'm running both amps off the SMPS for a 4-channel amp in a utilitarian but functional chassis. The amps are set up for balanced input, and are using a fixed resistor rather than the gain pots. They are set for a fairly low gain - ~19dB from my calculations. (I did this since I was multi-amping a nearfield setup directly from a pro audio interface which already had pretty hot balanced output). Switching to a more conventional gain is simply a matter of subbing in appropriate resistors - info is on the big thread.

I'd really like to sell this as a full package, so it's priced at $300 for everything including the chassis. Shipping extra (from 80207)

If I need to part out, it'll be
$160 for SDS-224 + linear supply
$175 for SDS-224 + SMPS

Case is negotiable if you're interested - can't find a camera at the moment but let me know if you want pics..

One SDS-224 has sold along with the SMPS. This leaves the other w/ the linear supply still available. This is the kit as you get it from classdaudio.
