Does that apply to all products?
Somebody should get a pair of these and report

Just go to checkout and punch in the code... if it doesn't show the lower price then it doesn't apply.
I owned a pair of ESP-950 for quite some time. Good sounding cans but can be a little finicky, especially for that price. Build quality is not what you'd expect for the cost, but then you are getting an amp as part of the package. Never had a squealing problem, but I did develop a volume/tracking issue between channels. Had them in storage for awhile and I think the pot developed a dead spot. Sent them back and Koss replaced the amp and while at it did an overhaul on the cans (pads, grille, etc.) under their no-questions lifetime warranty. That may be worth the price right there. They've been on the market forever, bought mine over a decade ago.
All that said, I sold mine about a year ago to invest in some Beyer DT990-600, Senn HD-650 and headphone amps. While the Koss ESP-950 has an incredibly clear, open sound that is utterly effortless and a joy to listen to, they are seriously lacking when it comes to bass both in terms of definition/detail and quantity. I've never looked back other than in terms of nostalgia every time I see a photo of a set (just kind of cool to have... but I'll take the $500 I sold them for).
Also, although they are very comfortable, I found the letherette pads to get overly warm and would even make my head sweat.
