Dear Networking Gurus,

Before I throw my laptop out the window, please help.

I finally had my Touch configured in a way that was trouble free and sounded great.  It was connected directly to my laptop via ethernet bridge.

I never had any problems.  Not until Norton 6.0.  It plays for a few minutes then drops off, then has a hell of a time getting reconnected.  I'd like to just turn all network features off, since I live in the country anyway.

What a hassle.  I even tried system restore to go back to old Norton, and it's not working.

I too have had similar experiences in the past with Symantec products.   Then I switched to MS Security Essentials and smooth sailing from there.

While I'm sure there is a way to resolve your problem and continue to use Norton, you may find that just using MS SE will make your life far easier on numerous fronts.

Thanks.  I might just do that.  I was so angry that I removed 6.0 and reloaded 5.  The problem persists.  It must have changed my settings when it loaded the new one and now I can't seem to change them back.

What really drives me crazy is that I've spent the better part of 3 years trying to get all of my SBs working properly.  I finally found this solutions for my main one (the Touch) that has been working absolutely perfectly for about a year - then along came the Norton "upgrade".  Thanks Norton.  Thanks a lot.
