First the shameless part............Please take 4 minutes to listen to a guy I know play guitar in a talent contest and then give him your vote. As you listen, keep in mind he's entirely self-taught which makes his playing all the more amazing. I think he has a great ear for melody.

But for once in such contests I'd like to see talent be the winning element instead of popularity. Just because a guy can get 500 people he knows to vote for him is not a reason win a talent contest.
