Has the B60 changed since it’s introduction many many years ago?  If so, what changed and when?

Any info much appreciated.

Hey Jaxwired ...Not to answer for James ....there was an upgrade in 2001 to the SST transistors (MJ21193/4.) from the metal Motorola transistors (BR6521/2)... similar to those found in the 2BLPs....

newer

...I believe that was it for any circuit changes..and the inclusion of better rca jacks and speaker connectors...those and an SST face lift later on.

Remember this bad boy...I got the black SST face lift off your previous BP6.  :thumb:

I sold it once I acquired the BHA-1 head-amp...although had my eye on another recently with built in phono. :)

Not positive about this but the preamp circuitry may have also changed over the years. The original B60 was a 2blp amp section and BP20 preamp circuit. The C series B60 is a 2blp with the upgraded SST output transistors and  BP6 preamp circuitry. I owned an original B60 for about 12 years. I

Not too sure about the circuitry changing but Bryston are always upgrading the individual components if better performing ones come along.

I have a B60 that I upgraded to the SST transistors some years ago. It's a subtle but noticeable upgrade. I made a thread on that buried somewhere in this subforum. Mine also has the dac module; it's ok, but not really up to the expensive modern stuff these days (though feed it with a decent coax source and it's just fine).
