Squeezebox - Inguz EQ on LMS 7.72 working ???

hi, new to the forum  :D
I am having issues trying to get the Inguz EQ plugin to work using LMS 7.72 ???
It does everything right except it has no impact on sound.
I have been trying sort the details on the logitech boards but just wondered if anyone here had managed to get it working successfully ?

if it helps, a bit more info....
the display and adjustments all work OK, the log file is correct, there are no errors, the inguz app is definitely running
the only thing that's wrong is the sound doesn't change  :x
