My first Mitsu receiver, the 1982 TOTL DA-R35 receiver. It's making my Niles Audio OS speakers sing in my porch/patio system.

It's certainly possible, but maybe more likely same school of thought from the designers of that era.

Remember that many of the HK pieces from the 70s and 80s were Made in Japan....by some manufacturer.....perhaps Mitsu was the manu?

That could be.
AVNerdguy discovered that the HK Citation 22 and the Sansui B2101 is the same critter inside the cases with just the display being different.
