This is just to remind folks of the gathering at McGurk’s from 4-6 P.M. Sunday. We’ve had several more donations of audio gear. Most recently a collection of Canadian jazz CDs. This isn’t a genre I know much about: I only recognize one name, and that is Oscar Peterson. Also there are nonaudiophile items that will be auctioned too. Some look very ladylike. If you’re a genteel gentleman, you can bring a female. But don’t let them spend your hard-earned audio money.
Remember, it’s $25 admission, but then it’s open bar with food! Plus it’s all basically a benefit for Grace the Americas, which is again sending a medical mission to The Honduras. So let’s all get reacquainted, and do what we can to help this worthy cause!
POSTSCRIPT: How many audiophiles does it take to change a lightbulb? If you don’t know the answer to this one, ask Baumli at the event. He’ll tell you, if he hasn’t yet succumbed to the effects of too much Irish whiskey. (Wouldn’t “too much” and “Irish whiskey” be an oxymoron?)
