Selah Verita Ported, Withdrawn
« on: 7 May 2012, 05:33 pm »
Withdrawn.

I am assembling a new system around a bit of a different philosophy, but I have decided to keep these, and simultaneously dedicate the speaker wing of our apartment (not to the rejoice of my spouse) These are seriously good speakers, and without serious offers I can't part with them.

Retail is:   $2495
I am asking: $1200 ($300 price bump)

Up for your consideration are a pair of Selah Verita ported speakers. These were one of the very first ported Veritas made, and I am the original owner. One distinguishing factors of the Verita, is that the illuminator 7” driver can be driven harder than virtually any other Selah two way monitor, creating quite a bit of output, and a lot of bass without a subwoofer. The included image is from Rick’s album and are of this particular pair of speakers. Please let me know if you are interested in more images. Condition is very good, no clearly visible dents, dings or scratches. I am in Chicago, and of course a local sale would be great. I do have the original boxes and can ship, but as always, there is risk with shipping. If shipping, I would be inclined to use FedEx for added security.

The Soundstage review is a good guideline for performance. Check out the measurements from the NRC.

Hi,

I had a look at the Soundstage review measurements, do you know why the Freq. resp. curve( 3rd curve) there is a bump around 800-1300Hz and follow by a rise again around 4500Hz. Did you ask Rick why?
