Hemp Acoustics FR8 1.0HQ w/ P10 phase plugs.
« on: 14 Mar 2012, 04:05 pm »
Early run HA FR8 pair.
*Whizzers remover. (I have them but they are wrinkled from storage).
*Planet 10 phase plugs installed. PP's originally made for Fostex FE167.
(I also have some dust caps that can be used for the FR8's without the PP's.)

I used these with .5mH inductor and then blended in tweeters with 2-3uF caps.
I liked this solution better than running fullrange. YMMV.

Stains on cone were there originally, not anything I did.

$150 plus shipping. Overseas should be ok, depending on where.

*I won't sell phase plugs separately at this time.
* I WILL sell FR8's separately for $125 plus shipping. (I am guessing I can later sell pp's for $25/pair).

Could you tell us more about how you used them?  Open baffle?  Box?  Horn?  With what tweeter?

I'm interested in an efficient two-way project.

Excuse the late reply, not around much anymore.
These come out about 90db used as described. so they match up with any tweeter 90db or more. I used Scanspeak 9300, Focal T90ti, as they are what I had. So not really high efficiency.
You can try them in any configuration. I used in OB with caps (probably 50-100uF) in series to restrict bass. Also in sealed 28 liter, then used subs. They recommended 2-3 ft3 vented for full range.
