Technics SL1200 RCA mod DIY
« on: 27 Mar 2017, 07:39 am »
Does anyone have any good DIY methods or ideas to add 2 female RCA jacks & a grounding post to the back of a Technics SL1200? Like the MK5's had on the base of their tonearm. Sourcing one of those parts in nearly impossible & costs much too much $.

KAB makes one that is held in place by the screws on one of the hinges. Good idea, but doesn't seem substantial enough.

Italy's Precision Sound Lab makes a perfect version, but they're never in stock & also cost a lot of dough.

I am also not a fan of the 2 RCA jacks sticking straight down under the table.

Has anyone come up with a DIY method which is substantial & well made? Like some sort of hammond enclosure or something mounted well. I am very knowledgeable of electronics, amps, soldering, & DIY stuff, but this one has me stumped.

Help! Please!
