Tube testing in-house

I need to scratch my audiophillia nervosa nerve. Any recommendations for an inexpensive tube tester for the 12at7, 6cg7, 6n1p tubes as used in the 400R, Avastar, Ultradac, etc.?

If you want to broaden the conversation to include the Ultravalve tubes (gz32, EH34, etc.) that's great.

It's possible (perhaps even proper?) to take 'em to the local tube dude but that's becoming a bit of a rara avis nowadays; and getting UPS/Fedex/DHL involved in the matter seems too much, and it's not quick enough to get that 3 AM fix.  :o

How do you want to test the tubes? GOOD - BAD? Mutual Conductance? Check out tone lizard's site: http://tone-lizard.com/Tube_Testers.html

Also where are you located?
