This is the passive version, no subwoofer or plateamp.

Guys - This is the rare and best sounding Passive model (no sub-amp).
It can be Bi-amped or Bi-wired and has great tight bass without a sub.
You can always add a sub but I never found the need.
One of the best small speakers I have heard!
