Looks like a cueing lever to me, but the cueing lever platform is not directly under the tonearm at rest position so it looks like the tonearm has to first be placed on the cueing lever platform from the rest position.

i bought the tonearm lift from Ebay,but cannot level,so need add something under the tonearm lift to level
,

after upgrade to the WT Symmtrex tonearm,i got pinpoint image,and more detail i never heard before.
