Thank you, a little respite in my time of turmoil.

So my new SSD external storage for my BDP-1 is not recognized as a drive by my computer so I cannot even format it.  It shows as "Location 0".  Please provide the exact number that comes before "0".  A number that approaches "0" is not an acceptable answer.

I haven't the slightest clue, but I did just go and read up some about SSDs. I now know what "TRIM" is.
What OS are you using? Usually the BIOS has to recognize any new hardware before the OS can take over.

What is Error 09?

Hi

Error 09 means the mother board is not being recognized in the BDP.

It was the external drive.  It did not have a drive name which I was able to fix using some DOS commands on my computer.  Everything is working now.

Thank You for the replies.
