I am thinking to get one of these currently available off ebay. Your opinion and experience would be great. BTW, I did read the previous topics on "under 500" tables  :D Thanks!

I own the Sony PS-X5 and PS-X7. Both are very heavy decks, at about 25 pounds and are DD tables with excellent arms. Anti-skate is dead on. The PS-X7 has a carbon-fiber tonearm and also has touch sensitive controls for on/off and other functions. They should sell for about $200 for the PS-X5 and $250 for the PS-X7.

I am not a fan of JVC stuff in general, so I have no comment on them.

Hi,
I'm not sure but Wayner's prices might be a bit low. It seems like every time I look, the price of vintage DD keep going up. I don't own any JVC decks but I've heard and fiddled with a couple. They're highly regarded and the QLA7 is a good one I think.
The X600 is a linear tracker?
Good value with Kenwood too. The KD 550, 650 are nice decks with a ground limestone/polyester base.
The better Denons tend to go for a lot of money due to the good looking wood base.

I certainly would not let mine go for that price, but I think that might be the average price, from best to worse. Ebay is a strange place, sometimes things go for next to nothing, the next time, out of this world. I've seen POS go for big bucks and total gems go for very little. I can't figure it out.
