If you think about it, the fact that Parsons does not do a lot of listening out of the studio makes sense - he get's enough of "active" listening as part of his job and relegates music to background (ambient purposes) outside of work.

Well I would imagine his system has changed some in the past 14 yrs.
I have seen enough cases of music professionals bypassing fancy stereo systems at home to make me wonder.
