Each platform measures 18x10x1.5 inches. Great for component or speaker isolation. Very heavy, solid wood. This was once one piece that was professionally cut in two.

Doesn't look like maple to me. More like ash or oak.

I don't really know different types of wood.

It is real wood: dense, and heavy. Thanks!  :D
