Cool looking DIY speakers from a Sweedish dude!

Are these the coolest looking monitors or am I just nuts? Okay, the two aren't mutually exclusive but they are cool nonetheless! A lot of cutting but I love the finished product.

actually on second thought, what a wuss, only attempt a 2 way like this. should have built a 7' line array with the pieces going horizontal instead of vertical.

I applaud the effort. Butt... the profile looks dated to me. A cooler outline inline with today's cutting edge ID (harder edges/leaner look) would have my eyes popping out of my head.

real bitch is i just might try somthing like that with the speakers i built last year-in a pearl white cameeleon (color changes)
been wanting to make a new pair but enjoy the sound so why

this way i use what i have and just build a new pair of cases.
been looking for a reason to try the color before i use it for ghost flames on my car when its done- 62 polara 500 - pearl white with pearl white cameeleon ghost flames

i would like to think my system is done changing since i added the tempest.

Very smoove design; it looks like a woman's backside.

Must be nice to have accesss to a CNC router!

Even with unfinished MDF it looks pretty good! If the center strips were solid wood it would be extra gorgeous, but I assume solid wood is not nearly as machinable as MDF.

when i was a kid i learned swedish from watching the muppets-
swedish chef was the best muppet till they came out with king crab a few years ago

The speakers used are SEAS P17REX as woofer/midrange and SEAS H537 as tweeter (ref. www.seas.no within their "standard line")

IMHO, with this professional woodwork I would at least have used the SEAS Excel product line.

Nonsense! All swedes are great chefs (how hard is it to boil fish!)

Just kidding. I don't know much about fashion, but I could live with speakers that look as cool as those any time (if they sound half as good as they look). They remind me of a cool, curvy sportscar...maybe an AC Shelby Cobra or a 60's Vette. Very nice!

It would be really cool if someone on this board would make a pair of those, get sick of them...and then sell them to ME (for a really good price, hopefully)! I just helped install a gate on my deck today. It proved once again, beyond a doubt, that woodworking (even the basic variety) is yet another thing that is beyond the scope of my ability!
