Verita Ported Stand Height, and Suggestion
« on: 12 Jan 2012, 05:07 pm »
Hi There ACers and Selah Fans,

I own the ported Verita speakers and was wondering if anyone had input on optimal height for stands. They use the 1.0 ft3 curved cabs from Parts Express http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=302-751 . Right now I'm just using a couple of old end tables. I was thinking Skylan, but have any of you had good luck with a manufacturer at a similar, or lesser, price point?

Have a good day

I have Tempestas, which share those cabinets. I use 20"stands, which puts my ear level just below the tweeter.
I use Target stands, which are ok, but those like Skylan with multiple posts are more solid.

I am using stands from Core Audio Designs for my Granduer's. I use one of their center channel models and turn it sideways, but it looks like it's discontinued. Their current stand is 11" deep which should work OK as well. They look better in person than they do in photo's. Very solid.

I use the Sanus SF22B (UF22 looks good too though I've not tried them).

Do all your stands come with mounting hardware such as discs, rubber bumpers, spikes, bolts (ouch) etc.  And, is there a preferred method of mounting the speakers to the base plate?

I prefer using the rubber bumpers which provide some isolation.
