4BST Relay Clicking
« on: 18 Feb 2012, 06:09 pm »
I’ve recently noticed what sounds to me like a relay clicking on my 4BST.

There does not seem to be a specific set of parameters to cause it, certainly not stressing the amp (after all I can hear the relay), it clicks once (each time), and doesn’t affect the music.

Something to be concerned about?

Thanks

Is the clicking audible through the amp or just a mechanical expansion of those metal covers between the heat sink sections?

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.

There is no audible impact on the sound through the amplifier, so it may well be metal expansion.

Good, could be that's all it is. My 4bst does this occasionally when the air temp is high. :thumb:

Funny I never noticed it before.

Thanks!
