Old thread, I know, but I recently purchased this Furman AC-215A. Since I only have a need for two outlets on my 2-channel system and didn't have the budget for what I really want (a BPT product), I felt I needed some form of protection against brownouts, etc. which occur frequently in my area. I can't really comment on whether it offers an improvement in sound, but if there's a difference, it's very subtle. I'm running a dedicated 20 amp line, so that helps a lot.
