So I've been listening to these for a couple of days now.....

Thanks to all you good people for the suggestions, help and comments.

The A-T ATH M50's still not completely broken in, but I like them very very much.  They are getting better and better.

The Fiio E 10 DAC/headphone amp is a nifty bit of kit.  I haven't decided on a player yet, for playback, but I have done some optomizing of the playback settings on my XP computer bypassing Kmixer, etc.( which means I'm still using Windows Media Center for now )  I don't have any experience with another DAC to compare it to, but I think it sounds very good.  It was also dead easy to set up, Windows recognized it, all I had to do was make it the default player.

I'm trying to decide between learning Foobar 2000, or JRiver media center.  I need to rip some files and play with both of them.

Thanks again gents.

Thanks for the reccomendation.

I'm going to probably try both, JRiver has a 30 day trial, I want to tackle Foobar too ( I think ).  I've been reading tutorials about foobar.  I have a pretty much blank slate here, all my CD's are still on the disc at this point, I haven't ripped any Vinyl yet either.

Both seem to have their adherents, and supporters, as well as detractors.
