pure music remote?

what are you guys/girls using as a remote app with pure music? is there one? i don't think just a normal itunes remote app would work as pure music is actually two programs (PM and itunes) running together in sync. isn't it strange that there isn't an app for this? i am currently using a remote desktop app which works but has a lot of lag so is not exactly the smoothest of interfaces.

According to Channel D, Pure Music supports the Apple Remote App for iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch.

I use Apple Remote and Itouch using Pure Music.

You lose some of functionality if you were just using Itunes but it works fine.

Ratso, you should re-read the PM manual/pdf.  iTunes is not playing, just running as a background for library management.  The Apple remote app works perfectly.  That's why Rob designed it that way.  And he has many tips and preference check boxes for good remote performance, all described in the pdf.

J Payton, I;m not sure what functionality you are losing.  Again, make sure you look at all the parameters in "preferences" to allow for good remote app performance (synching time elapsed, etc)

I've been using Remote Buddy with the Apple Remote that came with my iMac, and that seems to work fine for me - I didn't do a lot of comparing when I picked the app, though.

thanx guys! i'm at work so haven't glanced at this thread today. i did see that in the manual (itunes running in background) but somehow i wrongly assumed that the way it interfaced with pure music would interfere with normal remote apps. glad to hear that it doesn't, i will dowload one when i get home.

Yup, the Apple provided Remote app for your iPhone/iPod Touch works pretty well for controlling iTunes, which works (mostly) seamlessly with Pure Music.  There are configuration functions that are unavailable this way, but it's more of a one time setup thing and is not used day to day.
