Reference Line was a company in the 80s and 90s....bought by Scott Nixon some years ago and I don't think he has done anything with it.  They made passive preamps and one completely dual mono (two power cords even) stereo amp.  I think it was based on a Borberly design.  I heard one around 2000 and it was sweet.  Probably only made a few(no references on line that I could find).....a rare super amp (transistor based).  If I am wrong about this then I am sure Danny or Eric will enlighten otherwise.  By the way, the Reference Line amp that I listened to sounded way better after disconnecting the LEDs (one per channel).

As in Scott Nixon the Dac maker?

Reference Line was one of the most meticulously crafted SS amp ever made from what I was told.  Extremely rare and very expensive.  I think Eric lucked out on finding this gem.

About all I can find is that they were designed and manufactured by Ralph Catino, and that his passive attenuator won a Golden Ear award from TAS in 2009:

Hey guys,

I still have the pair of Super-V's that went to the show, and I have another pair that went to the show last year (Lamborghini Yellow). So it is time to make someone a really good deal on some Super-V's.

I guarantee that there is no better performing speaker out there for anywhere near the price I am willing to sell these demo units for.

Danny,

I was curious as to what the fabric was that used in the room at RMAF? (The gray curtain-like fabric that covered most of the walls)

I'm looking for anything that will help minimize the effects of my sliding glass doors in my room at home. I have a fabric over them now, but don't believe it does much. I'm planning on getting some of the diffusors from Dave, but wanted to find out more about how the room was treated (Dave blames you for the fabric  :green:) as I did really like the sound in your room.

The material was an inexpensive fleece purchased in bulk at a fabric store.

Thanks Danny - I'll look into it.
