Super V questions
« on: 5 Nov 2011, 04:31 am »
I am really interested in the Super-V. I understand it needs to be spaced out from a back wall about 3 feet. Is that 3 feet to the front baffle or to the back of the cabinet?

Are there any other pictures of cabinets posted other than the originals? Looking for possible styling changes of the sides that would not impact the sound. I tried the search function but only found the GR pictures of the Super-V as shown on their site.
Thanks!

When I built my V-1s I was inspired by the shape of the GR logo for the side panels

There are a lot of build pics here: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=98348.0

There is flexibility to the look of the sides so long as you cover what you need to cover. PDR's pics are a good example, and I really like his look.

And yes, you really need for the front baffle to be at least 3 feet from the wall and more is better.

These were a simpler shape to construct, but covered up the parts needing to be covered.
