The Cryo treated, silver plated ceramic fuses for the EE DAC are temporarily out of stock. There is a small production run of them waiting to be cryo-treated in Oregon. It may take 2-3 weeks for an opening in the cryo tank runs for them to get treated.

I have removed the fuses from my website until I get them back in stock.

Check with Bill.

With Alex and Bill's current attitude towards mods, I would be careful about changing anything other than the tube. Putting a different fuse in may void your warranty.

I'm confused.  First, why would not any fuse with the same rating be acceptable?

Second, struggling with how a fuse would improve sound.  Granted, I've restored old tube amps that needed to have the fuses replaced, as they started acting as resistors vice fuses

The fuse the DAC uses is 800ma (small size) slow blow in the DAC PLUS. Funny, I just ordered the new Supreme 99%silver,1% gold HI-Fi tuning fuses to check out. It should be here on Thursday. From my google search it is directional so the arrow goes towards the innards of the DAC from what I can tell, I'll try it both ways.
