Ambiophonics/PanorAmbiophonics, a Multi-channel Audio System by Ralph Glasgal

Room Size
Any home listening room or studio
System Overview
PanAmbiophonics, an audiophile-grade reproduction system, meant to replace the 5.1 speaker layout in homes, allows true binaural like localization of sound over the full 360 degrees of the horizontal plane via just four speakers. Works with standard 5.1 movies, games or filmed or surround concerts and operas, but a center speaker is never needed and far side images are clearly audible. See www.ambiophonics.org or www.tactlab.com/Products/RCS22XP/ambiophonics_system.html for technical papers and free PC downloads. PanAmbio and 2.0 Ambiophonic demos are ongoing at the Ambiophonic Institute in Rockleigh, New Jersey and at TacT Audio in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
