I'm using a Wiim Ultra with an external DAC.
After I saw the CeapAudioMan video where Randy claims a significant sonic gain by using the USB out via a $80 SMSL DDC
I tried it also and can confirm his findings. I then bought a $90 Chinese Fifo DDC which was another step uo from the SMSL.
That thing is the best DDC I have tried beating my heavily modded Singxer F1.

No reply on this interesting topic. This forum seems to be almost dead.

I recently added a DDC to my DAC within my setup and was impressed with the improvement in SQ.  Still, I don't see many DDC discussions on websites I frequent.  Since I am new to this community, how have others benefited from using a DDC?
