This is a horn speaker. - But a different breed of horn speaker indeed. It's a "Vertical Split" horn speaker called VSS Ultima. It's also a horn speaker with no cabinet...sort of It goes down to 20hz and sounds like thunder and silence in a mix! It's got the impulse response sort of like that of a 'stat; immensely fast.. 10 degrees phase error (actually less!) from 20hz to 30khz and -1db, 1.5db frequency deviation. Crazy specs, that is sure. It'll take 1000w of amp power and live to tell about it. 91db efficient. Yes... it's from Norway. No, it's not a viking style totem pole!!! It's a Forsman VSS! Yeah, and it uses driver earthing, like Tannoy uses. I've heard a demo with this type of mods and it clearly works this type of earth-thingie stuff.. what ever. It works!
