I'm not sure if I've ever come across anyone else familiar w/ the music of Egon Wellesz, but one of his Symphonies was being played in the Classical Music section at Tower Records ,center city Philly a few years back, & I found the writting too "Soulful" to ignore. I bought the CPO 4CD set. I really enjoy the mix of dramatic tension building & leading to very sweet lyrical melodic resolvements of these movements. The recordings have a not too close or too distant Hall perspective to them with nice clarity to the sound
