Tannoy Yorkminster SE - THis is a real cool speaker. It will do 12hz -6db !!! Fur real!!! 12hz in-room!!! 12 inch bass driver. 2 inch pepperpot tweeter. 220 liters cabinet. 140lbs heavy. 93db efficient. Did i say it will do 12hz inroom? I did... 12hz!!! You wanna use tubes, in a fairly big room. So you get it to go all the way to 12hz. 12hz!!! Talk about bonechrushing bass power!!! And the really neat trick is that this power scales back almost to whisper levels, and it's still there, that deep LF power. A bit narrow dispersion but hey... 12hz! Will play anything, louder than a lot of other speaker. Could be better abover 5000hz, Tannoy still could improve their pepperpot, just a tince... Funny enough it can be filtered down at 5000hz, allowing for say a ACAPELLA ION TW 1S (Ionic Tweeter) maybe to take over from there. Should fit nicely on top of the cabinet those!. Now that would be a ... marvel!!! Can be bi-amped, or with a Acapella ion tweeter... tri-amped. A 12hz capable tube amp, is of course a bit of a challenge to find but I'm sure they exist. I think it can handle 500watts of power. Of course if you're ever in the room when you actually use that... that would be a very very bad Idea...
