A German Bastard Sword - This weapon falls under the classification of the Longsword. It dates back to around 1600. It can be used with a single hand, or two. The second hand is generally held just behind the first to aid in steering and control. It is not there due to the weapon being heavy. Most real swords are quite light, ranging from 1.5 to 3 lbs. This one may weigh 2.5 lbs at the most.
