49 inch wide x 1.5 inch thick maple butcher block; final result will be 4 shelves and tied together with 8020 uprights.
40-4040-Lite T-slot profile; center tapped with M8 1.25 threads
8020 open channel
8020 T-slot framing, two 37 inch pieces on each side. Butcher block is sufficiently thick and beefy such that I don't need center uprights...I think!
8020 uprights; 40-4040-Lite profile; black strips inserted into channels

Butcher Block Table Tops: cut, sanded, stained and poly'd w 7 coats of semi-gloss ......WHEW, lotsa work!!! - top shelf: 46.5 x 19.5 x 1.75 lower shelves: 43 x 19.5 x 1.5
8020 Deluxe Leveling Foot to attach upright to floor. NOTE: I decided to not use these as the ball-in-cup design was overkill for my level floors. Instead I use Hex bolt and cover heads with felt disks to protect floors. $60 savings. - Any spike, leveller or furniture glide can be used here.
All shelves installed and spaced. I found it easiest to assemble the entire rack upside-down, on saw horses.
STEP 3: Attaching the lower shelves - First install the bottom shelf as described in other photo. Then slide it to the bottom of the posts and tighten. This forces posts to be straight, plumb and square over their entire length. Now tighten bolts countersunk into top shelf. Be sure to hold posts square. Starting with the lowest shelf first, the middle shelves are then installed individually in the same way as the bottom shelf. That is, by laying each one across the underside of the top shelf, spacing and lining up, and attaching hardware. Then slide each shelf into desired position and tighten the hardware. Rather than use a level, I just measured along the uprights and put pencil marks on the (4) uprights. By definition, this must be level. Once all middle shelves are installed, positioned and tightened, loosen bottom shelf and slide into the desired position, and tighten.
STEP 2: Attaching the bottom shelf. - Lay bottom shelf on underside of top shelf, space and line things up, and then attach hardware. Don't fully tighten.
Sliding inside corner bracket / T-nut assembly into T slot.
