DIY cd storage (wall mountable)

materials: 1x6 red oak, 5/8 inch solid oak dowels, Elmers woodglue. approx mat'l cost: $80. approx labor time: 6 hrs (sanding and staining took most time)	Width is 34 inches, and single dowels run the entire width. Dowel sagging necessitated the middle vertical support. Height of vertical pieces is 42 inches.	Used drill press forstner bit for dowel holes. For clean look, don't drill completely through the side boards.	rear dowel set just slightly lower (1/8 inch) to tilt back cd's and prevent falling out.
hung with 4 flat "L" brackets.	capacity is approx 450 cd's	hand sanded and finished w 4 coats of Tung-Oil.	Rock-solid and visually pleasing. And no more bending to reach lower shelves!
