Two loci and a length of wire describe the elipse. Plywood 1/2 cylinders were sourced on Long Island.	Jigsaws are very handy.	Hand planing to smooth the arc and fair the edge. This was my favorite part.	Feet retained while other parts were sized and built.
Veneer time. Three layers of glue; rolled, dried, and lightly sanded.	Raw quilted maple veneer needs to be softened with glycerin mix. Iron on technique works.	Wax paper prevents accidental glue down. Two sides are overlaped then cut simultaniously with a straightedge and exacto knife.	Edge trimming. Maple veneer is very brittle and prone to tearing.
One side done. Not bad.	Baffle has 1 inch baltic birch ply core. 1/2 inch MDF drilled and attached to each side.	Plywood bottom extentions added to MDF for stronger tenons. Dowels are overkill.	Base comprised of bottom, top, and three drilled-out layers (one shown).
