Oh yeah....I've got an Nikkor 80-200 2.8 too. Very sharp for a zoom. (all of Nikon's 2.8 lenses are good)

It tends to 'bind up' a bit on the close focus end, so I'll let it go cheap....say....$400? Functions fine otherwise.
